Jeremiah 33:2-3 “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’”
It’s great having people around to ask opinions of when making decisions. One time as I was struggling with a decision, I went to several people asking their thoughts. Lots of good ideas but still frustrated. As I was talking to one person who I had great respect for he told me to call God. Well, this was way before smart phones and I questioned him about it. He said the number is Jeremiah 33:3. When I looked it up God opened my eyes and I had an aha moment. God is waiting for us to call Him, share our hearts with Him and to be still and listen to Him. After all He formed us and knows us and desires to tell us, “Great and Mighty things we don’t know.” It’s so easy to ask friends and people when we are seeking answers, but we need to learn to first go to God and seek him out. Even if we don’t always get the answer we want, we remember who is the creator and sustainer of all life. When I go to God in prayer his answer is sometimes, “I know and right now you don’t need to know, just trust me, I have great and mighty things ahead for you.” Do you need to give God a call today?
